I got a frantic call from a friend — “that interior design place is going out of business! They are giving away all of their upholstery and wall paper books!”. ZOOM! I was over there in a flash. I lugged a gazillion tons of upholstery books in to my car (with a few wall paper books for good measure), and came home with that totally manic crafty feeling that sweeps over me when presented with so many choices. What to do first? What to do next? How to organize?
this is how I “organized”. I shoved it all on an empty shelf in my laundry room
I find that when I have lots of options, I get Craft Paralysis. CP strikes quickly. I can’t make a decision. I don’t want to use a favorite fabric because what if I think of a better project later? So I save it. And there it sits, mocking me.
But mock me no more! I have finally (after an embarrassing number of months) cracked open some of the upholstery books and used some of the samples. Although not my favorites. Those I am saving for something special!
